(Level –I)
Project title: DST funded project under National Mission for Sustainable Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) titled “Forest Resources and Plant Biodiversity (Phase-II)”
Number of Vacancy : 01
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/- per month (+ 8% HRA)
Age Limit: 35 yrs (Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically handicapped candidates as per Govt. of India rules.)
Essential Qualification : Candidates should have First class master degree (60% and above) in Physical Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Atmospheric Science, Geology, or related subjects), Environmental Sciences, GIS & Remote Sensing, Biological Sciences (Botany, Forestry, Zoology, Ecology, or related subjects)
Desirable Qualification :
a) Knowledge of data analysis using analytical software, such as R / SPSS/STATISTICA / MATLAB, etc.
b) Knowledge of dendrochronology & tree ring studies
c) Knowledge of Remote Sensing & GIS, and Ecological Niche Modelling techniques.
d) Working in remotely located field sites in Sikkim Himalaya,
e)Experience of data compilation/analysis and synthesis and proven record of scientific writing.
f) Good communication skills and computer knowledge & data analysis.
