Government of Manipur Law and Legislative Department Job Vacancy 2022 (Nov) - Full Details
1) Post Name : Chairperson of Manipur Human Rights Commission

Eligibility Criteria : A person who has been a Chief Justice or a Judge of a High Court.

Eligibility Criteria :
i) One Member: a person who is, or has been, a Judge of a High Court or District Judge in the State with a minimum of seven years experience as District Judge;
ii) One Member a person having knowledge of or practical experience in matters relating to human rights.
Other Common Criteria and Salary Details :
i ) Salaries & Allowances will be governed by the Manipur Human Rights Commission ('Salaries and Allowances and other Terms & Conditions of service of the Chairperson & Members) Rules. 2004 as amended from time to time.
ii) Age of applicant shall be below 70 years. (preferably not above 69 years of age on the date of submission of application.
iii) Terms of Appointment : 3 years from the date of entering upon his Office and shall be eligible for re-appointment for another term of 3(three) years, provided that no member shall hold office after he has attained the age 70 years (Section 24(2) of the Protection of Human Rights Act. 1993) (Reference conditions under Section 24 of PHR Act are binding.)
iv) Language Requirement : Working knowledge of Manipuri and English Language.
Regarding the above, the relevant provisions under the Protection of Human Rights Act. 1993 will be applicable.
