Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfill the following qualification and criteria.
Essential Educational Qualification:
(i) Class XII or its equivalent from a recognized board with at least 50% Marks or (
ii) Class XII or its equivalent from a recognized board with at least 45% marks in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education Regulation, 2002 notified on 13.11.2002.
Please note that those selected as Pre-Primary Teacher in this recruitment should mandatorily complete the Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education/Pre-School Education/Early Childhood Education Programme (D.E.C.Ed.) of duration of not less than 2 years or B.Ed (Nursery) from NCTE recognized institution within 5 years from the date of joining the service.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for the candidates shall be 38 years as on date of notification. Age limit shall be relaxed by 3 years for OBC Candidates and 5 years for ST/SC Candidates. For PWD/Meritorious Sports Persons (Candidates), additional relaxation as permissible by rules shall apply.

Reservation Policy: Relaxation upto 5% qualifying marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PH.
Salary / Honorarium : Rs. 14,600/- p.m
Eligibility Criteria: Applicant must fulfill the following qualification and criteria.
Essential Educational Qualification:
(i) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Or
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
Or
Postgraduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
And
(ii) Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
Training to be undergone (As per NCTE norm): A person-
(a) With Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. qualification or with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard, shall also be eligible for appointment to Class-I to V upto 1st January, 2022, provided he/she undergoes, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6-months Special Programme in Elementary Education;
(b) With D.Ed. (special education) or B.Ed. (special education) qualification shall undergo, after appointment an NCTE recognized Special Programme in Elementary Education;
(c) Who has acquired the qualification of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in Classes I to V:
Provided that the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, within two years of such appointment as primary Teacher.
Age Limit : The age limit for the candidates shall be 18-41 years (after incorporating the upper age limit by three years as approved by the State Cabinet) as on the date of publication of recruitment notification. Further age limit shall be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for ST/SC Candidates. For PWD candidates also, additional relaxation as permissible shall apply.

Selection Process of Manipur Education Department Recruitment 2024 (May):
Mode of Selection for Pre-Primary Teachers
The mode of selection for engagement of Pre-Primary Teachers of Schools on contract shall be on the basis of written test only.
The scheme of examination for engagement of 1140 Pre-Primary Teachers on contract basis will be as follows:
a) The written test would consist of 1 (One) paper of 100 nos. of Multiple-Choice Type Questions each carrying 1 mark for correct answer with a total of 100 marks.
b) The duration of the test will be 3 (three) hours.
c) There would be no negative marks for incorrect answers or questions not attempted.
d) Scheme of the examination for recruitment will be as follows:
