Meghalaya Postal Division Job Vacancy 2025 (June) - Full Details


1) Post NameField Officer 

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Any retired state / central government official and GDS.

Salary : Rs. 27,500/- per month 

Age Limit: No age limit.


2) Post NameDirect Agent 

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Any candidate who has passed 10th Standard or equivalent Exam from a Recognized Board of Central/State Government, and eligible for engagement by the Governrnent. Any Unemployed/Self-employed youth, Ex life advisors/Ex-Agents or any insurance company, Ex Servicemen, Anganwadi workers, Mahila Mandal Workers, Retired School Teachers, SHGs, Gram Pradhan, Members of Gram Panchayat with 10th Standard or equivalent qualification can attend the 'walk-in-interview" along-with the application form and required certificates.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years on the date of the interview.

Cash Deposit : The appointed Field Officer/Direct Agent must provide a cash security deposit of ₹5,000 in the form of a National Savings Certificate (NSC) or Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP). This amount will be refunded upon the termination of their engagement.

Training : Selected candidates must complete a 3-day in-house training on PLI/RPLI products, followed by another 3 days of hands-on practical training.

Payment of Commission : Commission for procuring or renewing PLI/RPLI policies will be paid to Field Officers and Direct Agents at rates set by the Department of Posts. These rates may change, and commissions will only be paid while the agent's license is active—no incentives will be given for policies procured before termination.

Current Commission Rates:

PLI (New Business): 4%–20% of the first-year premium (varies by plan and term)

PLI (Renewals): 1% of renewal premium

RPLI (New Business): 10% of procurement premium

RPLI (Renewals): 2.5% of renewal premium
