Meghalaya State Cancer Society Job Vacancy 2025 (June) - Full Details

1) Post Name: Medical Health Officer 

No. of Posts: 04

Eligibility Criteria: 

Qualification: Applicant must have done MBBS or other equivalent degree from any recognized Medical institution of India or abroad duly registered with MCl/NMC/ State Medical Council.

Experience: Candidates must have the following

• 2 years of experience as a medical officer in hospitals or healthcare centres, expertise in providing personalised advice and guidance to employees on health management.

• Experience in Research activities.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in high-pressure situations.

• Proficiency in Computer for maintaining electronic medical records and utilising healthcare software.

• Experience in cancer related works is highly desirable.

• Capacity to work for long hours especially in times of emergencies.

• Willingness to travel and stay frequently in the project areas and villages

Salary : Rs. 60,000/- per month 

Age Limit: 23-41 years (relaxation 5 years for SC/ST candidates)

2) Post Name: Public Health Consultant

Eligibility Criteria: 

Qualification: Applicant must have done Master's degree in relevant fields such as Public Administration, Public Health, and Social Work in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field with equivalent experience.

Experience: Candidates must have the following

•  Minimum 3 (Three) years' experience in public health

• Proven experience as a Public Health Consultant or in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of public health principles, practices and policies

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement.

• Ability to design and implement health programs and interventions.

• Prior training and experience in adaptive management frameworks such as Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation and Adaptive  Leadership.

3) Post Name: Research Associate

Eligibility Criteria: 

Qualification: Applicant must have done

• Post Graduate in Public Health, Social Work, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics or related field with emphasis on quantitative or analytical skills from a recognized institution.

• Graduates with over 2 years of relevant work experience involving field research, report writing, and data analysis can also apply.

Experience: Candidates must have the following

•    Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience especially in research study/ survey with experience in health programs and community institutions would be advantageous.

•   Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesise complex information into clear, easily understandable outputs.

• Good knowledge of statistical tools or software.

• Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modelling with strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work under your own. initiative with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Willingness to travel and stay frequently in the project areas and villages.

• Ability to speak and write in any local language (Khasi, Garo or Jaintia) would be an added advantage.

• Excellent communication,

• Proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Office and G-Suite applications. (Google doc, spreadsheet and slides,)

4) Post Name: Media and Communication Associate

Eligibility Criteria: 

Qualification: Applicant must be  Graduate or Post Graduate in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations or a related field with equivalent experience.

Experience: Candidates must have the following

•    Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in media and communications sector, with published articles or write ups in one or more websites/journals.

•   Ability to speak and write in any local language (Khasi, Garo, Jaintia) would be an added advantage.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health / Social Work from any reputed institution with research experience in health related projects.

Registered with Meghalaya Nursing Council and having equivalent experience in Community Health Nursing research experience in health related projects.

• Minimum 1 (one) year working experience on community-based with added experience in field Supervision or management with rural communities, preferably in health sector.

• Experience in program planning, coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
