Meghalaya Basin Management Authority (MBDA) Job Vacancy 2025 (June) - Full Details
1) Post Name : Research Associate- III
No of Posts : 01
Salary : Rs. 67,000/- + HRA monthly remuneration.
Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria and qualification.
Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Science or Engineering subjects or Master Degree in Engineering and Technology or equivalent with specialization (Environmental Science/ Environmental Management/ Civil Engineering/ Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Water Resource Management /Agricultural Engineering/ Hydrology/ Forestry/Earth Sciences/ Geology/ Geo-informatics / Disaster Management/ Remote Sensing & GIS) from a recognized university.
Desired Experiences & Skills : 3 years of research, teaching, or design and development experience, along with at least one publication in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal, is acceptable.
Requirement Skills: Candidate with higher/ additional qualification, research experience and published paper would be preferred. Knowledge of Data Analysis Tools and knowledge of RS & GIS is plus point.
2) Post Name : Senior Research Fellow
No of Posts : 01
Salary : Rs. 42,000/- + HRA monthly remuneration.
Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria and qualification.
Essential Qualification: Master Degree in Science or Technology with specialization in Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Hydrology/ RSGIS/ Forestry/ Environmental Science / Environmental Management/ Water Resource/Management/Hydrology/ Agricultural Engineering/ Civil Engineering /Earth Sciences/ Geology/ Geo-informatics/ Disaster Management from a recognized university.
Desired Experiences & Skills : 2 Years of experience in Research and development.
Requirement Skills: Knowledge of Data Analysis Tools and knowledge in RS & GIS required.
3) Post Name : Junior Research Fellow
No of Posts : 01
Salary : Rs. 37,000/- + HRA monthly remuneration.
Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria and qualification.
Essential Qualification: Master Degree in Science or Technology with specialization in Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Hydrology/ RSGIS/ Forestry/ Environmental Science / Environmental Management/ Water Resource Management/Earth Sciences/ Geology/ Agricultural Engineering/Civil Engineering Remote Sensing and GIS/Disaster Management/Geo-informatics from a recognized university Preferably with NET/ GATE.

Requirement Skills : Knowledge of RS /GIS, Data Collection/ Analysis and manuscript development, Project Report Writing and Experience in Field Visits.
4) Post Name : Senior Project Fellow

Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must fulfil the following eligibility criteria and qualification.
Essential Qualification: Master Degree in Science or Technology with specialization in Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Hydrology/ RSGIS/ Forestry/ Environmental Science / Environmental Management/ Water Resource Management/Earth Sciences/ Geology/Disaster Management/ Civil Engineering /Geo-informatics from a recognized university.
Desired Experiences & Skills :
Requirement Skills : Knowledge of RS /GIS, Data Collection/ Analysis and manuscript development, Project Report Writing and Experience in Field Visits.
Age Limit : Maximum Age for different vacancies are as follows :
- Research Associate-III will be 40 years
- Senior Research Fellow will be 32 years
- Junior Research Fellow will be 28 years
- Senior Project Fellow will be 28 years
Age relaxation in Upper age limit in SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped Candidates as per Government of India.
Duration of Contract : The duration of contract will be for a period of 01 (one) year. The contract may be renewed subject to the performance satisfaction of MBDA and continuance of the project you are engaged with.
