Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) Job Vacancy 2025 (July) - Full Details
1) Post Name: Typist in various Heads of Department
No of posts : 32 [UR-06, KJ-12, Garo-12, OSTs/SCs-02]
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Matriculate/SSLC or any equivalent education qualification.
Salary : Pay Scale of Level - 4 of Revised Pay Structure.
Age Limit: Age will be calculated with reference to 01.01.2025 and should have attained the age of 18 yrs to 32 yrs. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST.
2) Post Name: Lower Division Assistant under the Heads of Department
No of posts : 71 [UR-11, KJ-27, Garo-29, OSTs/SCs-04]
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Class 12th/HSSLC or equivalent from any recognized board/University.
Salary : Pay Scale of Level - 6 of Revised Pay Structure.
Age Limit: Age will be calculated with reference to 01.01.2025 and should have attained the age of 21 yrs to 32 yrs. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST.
Mode of Selection for MPSC Meghalaya Recruitment 2025 (July) Advertisement
The final selection /recommendation of suitable candidates against the vacancies notified in this Advertisement shall be made by the Commission through the following processes.
For the post of Typist in various Heads of Department
a) Practical Skilled Test (Typing) – 30 Words per minute
(Qualifying in nature and shall not be counted for ranking)
b) Written Examination (For consideration of Merit)
English – 50 marks
Note: Only those candidates to have qualified for the Practical Skilled Test will be called for
Written Examination.
Personal Interview : There will be no Personal Interview for this Post.
For the post of Lower Division Assistant under the Heads of Department
Screening Test consisting of the following subjects in MCQ pattern.
English – 100 marks
General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 80 marks
Aptitude – 30 marks
Reasoning – 40 marks
Basic Computer – 50 marks
Total –300 marks
Only those candidates who are declared to have passed the Screening Test/ Main Written Examination shall be eligible to the Personal Interview. Ratio to be called for Personal Interview will be as decided by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission from time to time.

Candidates applying for the first time through online mode, a one-time registration process is required to enable them to apply against the advertised vacancies/posts. Kindly read the instructions on the web page carefully before applying. Last date for online application is 17:00 hrs on 16-August-2025.

Candidates who wish to apply may pay the following application fees using e-Challan (Cash Payment) or Debit cum ATM Cards/Credit Cards/Net Banking modes.
- Rs. 320/-
- Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.
- For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWDs).Application Fee is exempted subject to furnishing of the Disability Certificate to the Commission. (As per Notification No.PER (AR).150/88/Pt.1/43 dated 29th April, 2015.
